U14s on a roll!!
On a fine but blustery morning at Ounavarra park the U14s were looking to add another 3 points to some great recent results. Hibs began the game with some lovely short passing and great movement. A period of pressure 10 minutes in led to Evan Roche finding the net for his second goal in 2 games. Hibs switched off after the goal and allowed St. Joseph's in twice in succession to grab the lead against the run of play. A double substitution before half time up front seen Evan Whelan Smith and Killian Moran come on and make a massive impact, Moran providing 2 fabulous crosses for Whelan Smith who scored both to give Hibs the lead at the break. In the second half both Centre backs Jude Stafford and Cailem Kirwan were instrumental in keeping the defence solid along with Lee Doyle dominant in midfield. Oisin Byrne and Eoghan Carroll caused the St. Joseph's defence worry at every attempt and the game was wrapped up by Byrne when he remained calm to pick his spot in the top corner of the net in the minutes after some hard work by David Hanney and Alex Mackay up front. A fantastic team effort once again with top performances from Killian Moran ,Evan Roche, Evan Whelan Smith and Oisin Byrne.
