U14 Boys lose out by the minimum
On their first outing of 2019 the u14 boys were playing away in Barntown, the game didn't get off to the best of starts for the lads going a goal down after 2 minutes when a deflected shot dropped in over keeper Kenny Robertson's head onto the back post. Hibs regrouped and got control of the game, without really troubling the Barntown keeper despite having the majority of the possession and creating chance after chance. The home side then scored 2 more goals with 2 identical breaks to make it 3-0. Even at 3 down Hibs remained dominant and kept fighting, Cailem Kirwan then scored a long range free kick right on the half time whistle to make the score 3-1 at the break. The second half seen Hibs continue to hold possession and created plenty more chances. Tom Hernandez and Oisin Byrne causing the opposition defence trouble at every opportunity. Jason Timmons also very impressive in the second half at centre back. Lee Doyle then scored a second hibsbgoal to narrow the gap to one. Hibs through everything at them but just fell short. The attitude of all players to be commended showing such good fight until the very end.
