Ladies get a well deserved win

Ladies team played away to St. Joseph's this morning first league match. Things were fairly even for the first twenty minutes as these two sides renewed old battles. Hibs took the lead with a well taken goal from Aoife Gleeson. Hibs held the lead and made tactical changes half time came out for the second half and Hibs pushed on from the kick off and scored twice with a second from Aoife Gleeson who with central Midfield partner Sonia Redmond dominated midfield with Erin Carroll cutting in from the left beating three defenders and rifled the ball into the back top corner for goal of the day. Hibs began to empty the bench with Joseph's always looking dangerous. St. Joseph's got a goal with 20 mins to go when 14 year old Goal Keeper Holly Tobin beaten with a looping shot Hibs 3:1 up. Hibs tipped off and went straight on the attack with 3 successive corners the ball was cleared to Hibs right full Gina Kavanagh Who cleverly lifted a curling right footed cross to the feet of on rushing Sarah Lynch who slotted home Hibs forth and saw the end of the game. A great team effort from all of the ladies involved and a very happy management team.
