U14 boys endure tough start

The boys had a very hard season opener away to bridge rovers in castle bridge. Hibs started very strong and controlled most of the possession . Bridge broke to score the first goal against Hibs keeper Luke McDonough and led 1-0. Hibs created plenty of chances with three shots being cleared off the line , only for bridge to go and double their lead halfway through the second half. At this point Hibs had nothing to lose and committed more men forward to try and gain something from the game. This was to no avail and the opponents scored another two to wrap up the tie . A 4-0 defeat not reflective of the Hibs display with Oisin Byrne, Cailem Kirwan and Tom Hernandez having top performances. Not an ideal start to the season but this group are destined to flourish as they continue to gel.
