U12 girls starting in style!

U12 girls win 11-0 at home v St Leonards. On a cold drizzly evening at Ounavarra Park these 11 girls gave a great performance to the delight of the home crowd. A well delivered corner by captain Pollyanna Clavin saw Sophie Moran slotting in the opener after 3 mins. On the 11th min Issy Kenna scored with an assist from her twin Faith. Hibs broke again with a fab kick out by keeper Rebecca OConnor & defender Sophie Moran powered home her 2nd after 23 mins. Two mins later a well worked assist by Grace Davis saw Issy pop in her 2nd. The 2nd half saw more Hibs possession & fab play from Kym McBride being denied after 2 mins. St Leonards made a couple of attacks but Leah Gammell was always in control in defence. On 34th min Eve Apaks determination set Sophie up on her hat-trick & 3 mins later Sophie scored her 4th wit a cool pass from Pollyanna. A strong Faith Kenna in centre midfield assisted Leah Gammell with 2 goals on the 43rd & 45th min. With 6 mins to go Grace Davis’ hard work & skill saw her powering in her 1st of the season. A sweet ball in from Megan saw Issy work her magic & whizz by 2 defenders to secure her hat-trick with mins to go. Just before the whistle the tenascoius Pollyanna put in another precision cross for Eve Apak to score a well deserved first. Today saw great football with 11 goals, chanting crowd, exhausted coaches, cold & wet conditions but the smiles on these 10 young players faces in this photo is what the game is really about
