U14s continuing strong

Our under 14 boys played out an exciting friendly against Gorey Rangers "B" this afternoon at the Riverchapel complex. Match started well for Hibs with Evan Whelan putting them in front in the first few minutes. With Hibs trying out a few new signings a couple of defensive errors seen Rangers score 4 unanswered goals and led 4-1 at half time. Hibs dug deep and showed great heart in the second half, playing some top class football and managed to bring the score level with another 3 goals for Evan Whelan. Jude Stafford wrapped up the game with 2 goals and Hibs finishing up 6-4 winners. Notable performances from new signings Evan Roche, Tadgh Mc Shane, Owen Carroll & Joel Paige. Also big games from Cillian Moran ,Jason Timmons & 4 goal man Evan Whelan.
