Ladies first pre-season game

Courtown Ladies took on St. Cormacs today in their first pre season game. Both sides were under strength and it took Hibs 25 minutes to breakdown a resolute Cormacs defence. Lauren Nolan breaking the deadlock and added a second 3 minutes later. Sarah Lynch added a third before half time. The second half was a more even affair with changes on both sides. EVE CARROLL rolled back the years as she ran onto a ball at the far post but put the ball just wide for St. Cormacs. Cormacs did get a chance and a snap shot from striker " rocky " saw a bullet of a shot nestle in the roof of the net from 20 yards. Gina Kavanagh commanded the Hibs back line and at one point took the ball from her own half breaking down the left into the box only for her shot saved by the keeper. Gina is now recovering at home ..... Hibs ran out 3:1 winners in a good exercise for both teams.
