Mens "A" with vital win

Courtown Hibs mens team won at home today 2-0 v Corach Ramblers goals From Des and Yaw

Lads started fast paced game with Corach in need of points. But anyone who has watched this team since Christmas knows its been playing well without getting its rewards.

In the first few min Hibs created a few good chances with a long range screamer from Adam zipping over the bar. Corach keeper pulled off a couple of decent saves from Des, Matty and Yaw. Hibs were starting to dominate but Corach are always dangerous with Harney and Staples in there side and this proved to be the reason they came close to scoring on 34min with a great through pass leaving them one on one with Rob only for him to save the shot with Troy making a goal line clearance. Literally the next attack hibs had the ball in the net after Matty provided some of his usual magic to set up Clinic Des and he did what he does best slot the ball home to give the hibs the lead 7 min before half.

Hibs carries the push to Corach with a few more chances and corners testing the ridged defense. One thing for sure when playing Corach they never give up. And they kept seeking a through ball but the well marshaled defense led by skipper Colm Kinsella were managing the threat. Man of the match Michael Kinsella had covered every blade of grass winning some unbelievable tackles and drove the team on were Yaw, Des and Matty should have scored. On the 72min Rob played a lovely through ball to Yaw who was terrorizing the Corach defense got his just rewards and scored the second goal.

Corach switched system and were pushing with 3 up top but hibs were dangerous on the break with Billy Byrne flashing some well struck shots testing the Corach keeper.

Corach had several corners in the second half but yet again Rob in goals managed the situations well.

Rob distribution from goal today created several chances on the break he was a beast again in the goal.
