A mix of mens teams travelled to Kilcoole on Sunday morning for a good workout against a strong St. Anthonys team. Goals fraom Billy Byrne and Conor Berney saw us come away with a 2-2 draw. This was a good workout for a number of players as the season dawns.

Courtown Ladies took on St. Cormacs today in their first pre season game. Both sides were under strength and it took Hibs 25 minutes to breakdown a resolute Cormacs defence. Lauren Nolan breaking the deadlock and added a second 3 minutes later. Sarah Lynch added a third before half time. The second half was a more even affair with changes on both sides. EVE CARROLL rolled back the years as she ran onto a ball at the far post but put the ball just wide for St. Cormacs. C

We will be running a poker night in Jimmyz Bar on Friday October 12th. Buy in will be €20 with a €10 registration fee that will go to the club. This promises to be a great night with proceeds towards our new astro turf facility.

Our very promising U14 boys faced off against a very strong Arklow Town team this morning in conditions ideal for football. The first half was a very even affair with both teams controlling spells. A late first half goal was enough to send Arklow Town in to the break at 1 nil up. Arklow controlled much of the second half but our lads defence was outstanding as they soaked up the pressure. Our Ladies team play their first pre season friendly against St Cormacs in Riverchapel on Sunday 19/08 at 11.30am. Our ladies are off the back of 3 promotions in a row and compete in Div 1 this season, and with a couple of new adidtions will quietly fancy their chances of going well again. Another good tune up for our men's team last night as they overcame a stubborn St. Cormacs by 1 goal to nil in their 2nd pre season game. Our lads were composed and controlled the game and probably should have won by more against a very strong, up and coming Cormacs 11. This seasons UK Trip is being put together as we speak, and while we don't have an exact location, we do have the following details. It will again consist of a Stadium Tour of a Premier League/Championship ground, a coaching session with the Clubs professional coaches as well as a match from the Championship/Premiership.
